PPAF’s Sustainable Development Talks with AJK Officials

Explore the latest collaborative efforts between the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and key officials in Azad Jammu and Kashmir ajk

A delegation of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) led by Mr. Hamid Afridi, Specialist Green Growth and Climate Change met with Mr. Dawood Khan Bareach, Chief Secretary AJK and Mr. Ansar, Secretary Environment and Forests AJK to seek collaboration and partnership for sustainable development in the region at Muzzaffarabad, AJK.

Several proposals related to climate change, zero carbon emissions, disaster management, community resilience building, renewable energy, community-led development and local economic development were discussed.

It was mutually agreed to work more synergistically to address the challenges faced by the State and build on each other’s strengths for poverty alleviation and socioeconomic development and prosperity of the people.

PPAF delegation led by Mr. Hamid Afridi met with Mr. Khalid Mahmood Mirza, Additional Chief Secretary a.i./Secretary, P&DD AJK along with all Chiefs of Sections to brief them about PPAF poverty graduation programme, seek mutual collaboration and partnerships and discuss plans for the future to address climate change and sustainable development at Muzzaffarabad, AJK.
